HEC Grading System

The HEC Grading System is comprised of three components: 1) Horse Grades, 2) Rider Grades, and 3) Archery Grades. Archery Grades focus on the system of historical horse archery used in hunting and war. The Horse Grades and Rider Grades within the HEC Grading System are based on the core tenets of the Eurasian Warhorse Education System, which is used by HEC trainers to coach those training in the discipline. These core tenets include: 1) Aids, biomechanics and horsemanship, 2) Intermittent Reinless Riding, and 3) Desensitisation.

Grading costs €10 per grading submission. Details for submitting payment are on the following pages for types of grading.
