Competitive events using the HEC discipline may be hosted as standalone events, or a HEC discipline event may be hosted as an auxiliary but separate event before a main competition, for competitors/horses who are properly qualified. The discipline is a self-contained training and competition system which has a different purpose and goals from most existing tracks. It should not be carelessly mixed in with other styles.
